Everyone has a need for light, especially during this time of the year.  We all have at least one spot in the house that has horrible lighting. I can not begin to count the number of DIY crafts that require some sort of lighting.  And then of course it's almost CHRISTMAS TIME! THE one time of the year that mothers everywhere allow the children to leave lights on, as long as they are on a tree or mantle.  Lights are a pretty big deal.

I received these lights a few weeks ago.  I have another similar set that I will be discussing tomorrow.  It has taken me this long to decide what to do with them.  When I opened the box my initial thought was "What the hell am I going to do with this?" I don't mean that in a bad way.  I instantly knew 101 projects I could complete with this 1 set of lights.  I'm sure you can see my problem lol.

A couple of years ago I was introduced to this horrible site known as Pinterest.  It is similar to crack.  It's highly addictive and it steals all of  your money.  It gives you instructions and makes you think that you can do anything.  You believe it, and time and time again you fall for it.  You run to your nearest craft store to purchase $100 in supplies to make the most adorable snowman for your front door.  3 hours later your hand is super glued to the dining room table and it looks like a glitter factory threw up all over your house.

Well, I have decided to tone down my crafting.  I reached out to some of my wonderful blogging friends for advice on what I should do with this set of RTGS Micro LED String Lights.  I received some wonderful suggestions!  Terri with Shabby Chic Boho told me how she used her lights.  Her bathroom has poor lighting so she wrapped them around her shower curtain rod.  It helps to light up her shower.  What a wonderful idea, that I never would have thought of! The lights are indoor/outdoor which means that they are weather resistant and are safe to be used in and around water.  The battery box is weather proof to ensure no damage from use near water.  Brandy from Blletourneau Reviews suggested using them as Christmas lights which is what I have decided to do with this set. I am going use them above my fireplace with garland.  I am going to update with some photos once we do our decorating after Thanksgiving.  My friend Fran at Lizards and Tutus suggested several amazing craft ideas and I am hoping to use some of them with the additional set that I will be reviewing soon.  It is very similar to this set.

This set of lights is very versatile.  It can be used indoors/outdoors.  The weather proof box makes it safe for use in basically all areas that you can imagine.  The lights are powered by 3 AA batteries.  This strand is made of 10 feet of ultra thin, yet durable wire.  It is perfect for bending around small and large objects.  The wire blends very well with its surroundings.  You do not have the issue of the wire standing out that is common with most types of string lights.  The lights themselves are submersible however, the battery box itself is not.  It is however, weather resistant.  This product includes an automatic timer.  The lights remain on for 6 hours and are turned off for 18 hours.  The lights also come with an amazing 2 year warranty.

This product is available for purchase through their Amazon listing.  You can also learn more about this and other products that they have to offer by viewing their Facebook and Twitter pages.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. 1. Ha ha, the amount of time I spend on Pinterest is ridiculous but I will say we do eat so much better since it came into my life. My craft skills have not improved though, I have actually injured myself more. You can find my projects on many of the Pinterest fail sites ;) But I keep going back ha ha
